"Body of Harmony" by Nicole Ning

Understanding the qualities of a Crane and translating it into an imaginary form - the idea of a bird as composed of weightless atoms. The simplicity and fluidity of the design reflects the grace and vitality of a Crane, manipulating and understanding the nature of the material, to create the illusion of three dimensions. Elements of solid and void were used to achieve the heav-light effect in the work. The curvature of form and thickness of material further emphasis the main idea of the project; making heavy light. Materials - mild steel and welded rods, with smooth powder coat finish.
