"Raven Extracted" by Zhao Cen Kat

To the native Americans,the raven symbolizes the void - the mystery of that which is not yet formed. Ravens are symbolic of the BlackHole in Space, which draws in all energy towards itself and releases it in new forms. Here I have extracted the essential qualities of the void and the radiance of energy and reinterpreted them in this new form. The form, elegant yet mysterious, spreads outwards without straight or sharp edges, bird like yet ambiguous in different perspectives. The surface is given a rougher finish - a hint at the bird's ruggedness and tenacity.
