“Integrated Ironing System” Tan Zhiwei
Design Brief:
Ironing our clothes is a part and parcel of our lives. Most of us who goes to work, school or simply heading out with our love ones would dress up in properly ironed clothes. Dressing up in properly ironed clothes allows us look neat and decent and give others a good impression. Therefore, ironing our clothes is an important part in the whole process of preening.
Most people tend to iron all their newly washed clothes and then arrange them in their wardrobe. However, this poses a problem whereby clothes get crumpled again when they are in contact with other clothes. Indeed, it is possible to prevent them from being crumpled by leaving a significant gap between each piece of clothing so that they would not come in contact. But such a method would require you to have a humungous walk-in wardrobe or a pathetic amount of clothing's in a normal wardrobe.
Integrated Ironing System
Clothes that get ironed and are placed back into a wardrobe risk getting crumpled again, requiring the user to iron them again. This becomes a tiring and tedious chore for individuals who lack sleep but have to wake up early to iron clothes, and do not have the Luxury of a maid to do it for them. To reduce all these shortcomings, a system is designed and integrated into existing wardrobes, significantly reducing the time required to iron clothes.
