"Pandora's Box" by Lin Jia Hui, Cheryl
Based on the idea of a mail box, the letters of personal secrets and confessions written and posted into the slot of the pandora’s box will stay forever hidden. This low table holds all your secrets and confessions. The slot enables one to post their personal written letters into the box where it is kept, safe and sound. The letters can only be retrieved if the table is destroyed. In Greek mythology, a box that Zeus gave to Pandora with instructions that she is not to open it, but she gave in to her curiousity and opened it, thus all the miseries and evils flew out to afflict mankind except for hope.

"7 Daily Objects" by Lin Jia Hui Cheryl
“I was acutely aware how different days had an effect on my mood and feelings. Mondays have never felt so blue until I joined the “rat race”. Sunday night must be the worst of all days knowing the fact that the next day is a weekday. Saturday night felt so appealing when I know the fact that I can sleep in late tomorrow.” – (Natalie) Natalie, a persona created as a representation of the typical Singaporean in their 20s.
Using the idea that different days can affect a person’s mood and feeling, I want to create a series of objects that represent the characteristics of Natalie. Each object tells stories and when the objects are linked together, they narrate the experience of a daily life in Singapore.
