PRODUCT DESIGN

Advanced Development & Prototyping is a studio-oriented course that focuses on utilising resources within the rapid prototyping workshop. Students develop and prototype key elements and phases of the design and learn how to make an appropriate selection of tools and process.

 

Projects will be developed in specific and current areas of product design to build confidence in dealing with conceptualizing, developing, detailing and building prototypes. Students will pay close attention to the practical details of the construction of these prototypes. This course prepares students for real world situations while allowing them to develop a portfolio of detailed and prototyped products.
